Plump Glossy Logo in Photoshop

In this section we will introduce you how to create a plump, glossy logo. There are countless types of logo designs.

A simple design can stand out with a right logo. A logo can totally change the impression of the whole design.

In this tutorial, we will make a cute, plump logo which can be used for cards and stickers.

Step01 Insert Text

Set the document size (800 x 600).

Type text using the example above, drag the text layer on the new layer icon and copy it.(Retaled Articles:Know the Basic of Photoshop Layer)

We are aiming for a plump logo, so select a thick font.

Step02 Apply Style 1

Select the copied layer, click the [Layer Panel] style icon and select <Bevel and Emboss>.

Set the preference using the example above to create a plump texture.

Step03 Apply Style 2

Set the <Drop Shadow> using the example above and blur the text.

Step04 Transform Text Layer

Transform text layer to use the filter. Select the two layers and transform the text into image [Right Click > Rasterize Text].

Now you can filter and fill the text.

Step05 Transform Text

Transform the layer of the bottom text to make shadow.

Select the bottom layer and click [Edit > Transform > Freely > Numeral Setting]. Now the text is tilted and it is almost flat.

Step06 Move Text

Arrange the transformed text under the other text. The “g” is a little misallocated but it works fine.

Step07 Create Shadow

Create shadow by blurring the text.

Select the layer of the transformed text and click [Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur]

Blur it until you can barely recognize the text and make it look like shadow.

Step08 Adjust Opacity Level

Adjust opacity level to create transparent texture. Set each layer using the example above.

The text has acquired some transparency and the shadow has turned lighter.

Done!

Now it is done. The logo is plump and cute.

We only used text this time, but we could also use hearts and stars using Shape.

Style has a large library. You can explore on your own or can also use different symbols from the library to create your favorite logo.
