In this section we will introduce you how to create blacktop texture in Photoshop. You can see the rough texture of the blacktop surface.
You can create a road is perspective. You can also use it as a different texture by adjusting the color and transparency.
To fill, click the black and white icon. Create a new fill layer and fill it with the color setting above.
(Retaled Articles:Know the Basic of Photoshop Layer)
Operate [Filter > Transform > Glow Diffusion] with the settings above.
Now we have small noises in the fill layer.
Operate [Filter > Effect > Emboss] using the settings above.
The noises created in [Glow Diffusion] in Step02 turned bumpy.
Copy the layer.
Operate [Filter > Texture > Cracking] using the settings above.
The surface is even bumpier than [Emboss] in Step03
Set the cracking operated filter settings using the example above.
By adjusting the opacity of the layer, you get both big and small bumps which make a realistic 3-dimentional texture.
By adding white text and lines, the texture looks even more realistic.
You can make different textures with various roughness by adjusting the settings of each filter. Adding a doodle like illustration with different color brushes is also a nice idea.
