In this section we will introduce you how to create Plumeria illustration. Plumeria is a flower that reminds you of tropical destinations such as Hawaii and Bali.
You can also add patterns to it or make it an accent on a logo. It is very easy to make. Let’s see how we can do it.
Create a precise copy using Eclipse Tool. Select [Rotate Tool], click the bottom anchor point (Alt + Click) like shown above, set the value and rotate copy.
The color has been changed for a better understanding.
Select two precise circles. Divide the object in three and delete the left object.
Select the two objects and round them to form petal shapes.
Next, select only the pink object, click the bottom anchor point (Alt + Click) with [Rotate Tool] like in Step01 and rotate copy with the setting above. Repeat rotate copy three times. (Ctrl + D) x 3.
Select all the petals. Make them one object with [Pathfinder > Unionize]
Next, select the yellow object and move it to front [Right Click > Order > Front Top]. Rotate copy it like in Step04, select all the yellow objects and [Group] them (Ctrl + G).
The plumeria illustration is done, now you can assign any colors you want.
This is the color setting we used for plumeria. We used gradient on petals as shown above and the verges are painted with a single color.
We decorated around the flower simply this time. You can also fill the canvas with plumerias.
You can save it as a pattern and customize the color easily. Use it for postcards, greeting cards, photo frames and other various purposes.
