How to Create Random Stripes in 5 Minutes (Photoshop)

In this section we will introduce you how to create random stripes easily. You cannot have detailed color settings but this design would make a nice addition to any design.

The outcome will differ every time you create it. You can create different patterns.

Step01 Fill

Have a [800 x 600 pixel] document ready. Fill it with the color above.

Filled Canvas

It is filled with the color [#F5FF51].

Step02 Add Noise

Apply the setting above in [Filter > Noise > Add Noise].

Noise Applied

Yellowish noise is added to the canvas.

Step03 Stipple Setting

Apply the setting above in [Filter > Pixelate > Stipple].

Stipple Applied

Colorful dots are created with the base color [#00F2CD].

Step04 Scroll Setting

Apply the setting above in [Filter > Other Scroll]. The horizontal size of document is 800pixel. Set the horizontal direction 800. Select plus or minus according to your preference.

Done!

This is an outcome of the horizontal direction [-800 pixel] setting.

Inversed Image

This is an outcome of the horizontal direction [800 pixel] setting. The color is different with the inversed setting.

The color outcome of the random stripes would differ depending on generate and background colors. You can also adjust the size of the stripes by changing the stipple size. Try explore.
