In this section we will introduce you how to create the Halloween ghost illustration.
We created the Jack O’ Lantern illustration in How to Create Halloween Jack O’ Lantern Illustration. Why don’t you make post cards or invitation cards with the illustrations?
This is easier to create than it looks. Let’s start now.
Draw two different sized circles and create the ghost outline with [Pathfinder > Union].
Raise the tip of the ghost tail anchor point a little using [Direct Selection Tool].
This is the key to make the illustration to look cute.
<Eye> Arrange an oval and a triangle. <Mouth> Arrange an oval and rectangle and apply [Pathfinder > Minus Front/Subtract]. <Cheek> and <Nose> Create with ovals.
The sizes can be rough. We will modify when arranging the parts on the ghost.
Union two different sized rectangles using <Pathfinder>. Overlap a rectangle to be the ribbon.
Copy <Eye> and <Cheek> and create one more each. When arranged roughly on the face, adjust the sizes and shapes of each part.
Done! We have created a very cute Halloween illustration like a snap.
You can combine it with the Jack O’ Lantern illustration or a logo, or use it as a small accent.
