Enter any letters using the type tool.
Make an outline around the letters.
Select the letters and click [Right click→Make outline].
The letters have been outlined.
By outlining the letters, it is possible to handle the letters the same way you would handle an image.
Now, finally add the shadow to the letters.
Select the letters and click [Effect→Stylize→Drop shadow].
Because the [Drop shadow] dialogue box is open, set it like in the above picture and click OK. (By putting a check in the preview button, it is possible to look at the condition of the actual shadow.)
By applying drop shadow, shadow has been finished for the letters.
